1. When is a Hard Refresh necessary?
After each update that Mr Beam carries out, a hard refresh is necessary in order to be able to use the full range of functions. As a rule, a window is displayed (see illustration) that prompts you to perform the hard refresh.
Under certain circumstances, however, this window may not be displayed. In this case, also carry out a hard refresh. If the window is now displayed, you can check the box directly and close the window.
Tip: A hard refresh can also help with connection problems or other problems with the software, as the entire software is restarted here.
2. How do I perform a Hard Refresh?
Use the following key combination to perform a hard refresh:
- Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R
- Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
After the hard refresh, you will still be prompted to perform a hard refresh. Now you can check the box that the software has been completely reloaded and then close the window.
