Mr Beam Fast Axis Upgrade & Inspection

With the Mr Beam Fast Axis upgrade, your device will be upgraded to the new axis. This upgrade is especially useful if you want to increase your engraving speed or switch to a 20W laser head.


Who is this upgrade for?

  • If you want to upgrade to a 20W laser head
  • If you do a lot of engraving and want to increase your output
  • If you want to bring your device up to the latest technical standard

The new axis is required for the 20W laser head, as it is significantly heavier than previous heads.

  • Price: €590.00 incl. 19% VAT

  • You can also book the new axis as part of a repair via our ticket system

After your request, you will receive:

  • an order confirmation
  • the invoice via email
  • a shipping checklist with all important information

Process of the Fast Axis Upgrade

  1. You book the upgrade
  2. You securely pack your device and send it to us
  3. We perform the upgrade and a technical inspection
  4. After completion, we send your device back to you

Processing Time

From the moment your device arrives at our facility, the processing time is typically around 7 working days.

Please only send in your device if you can do without it during this time. The exact processing time may vary depending on current workshop workload (repairs and inspections).

What is included in the upgrade?

  • Replacement of the axis
  • Installation of a new flat ribbon cable
  • Installation of a new 30-pin cable
  • Partial replacement of electronic components
  • Installation of Aruco markers
  • Camera calibration

Important preparation before sending your device

  • Please install software version 2.4.5 in advance if possible
  • This saves time, as no update needs to be performed in our workshop

Shipping instructions

Important: We only accept devices in the original packaging including axis protection and corner protection. Improper packaging may result in transport damage.
  • You can ship your Mr Beam with the Height Extension installed
  • Please do not include:
    • the frame
    • keys
    • hose
    • power supply
  • The laser head must be included, as the new axis will be tested with your head

Special case: Switzerland

If you are located in Switzerland, please contact us in advance. Shipping must be handled via Germany.


Filter note

Due to the higher engraving speed, more output is generated. As a result, your filter may fill up faster. If you frequently engrave or cut wood, we recommend using the Air Filter III with its significantly higher capacity.
